From phone photo to PDF scan
This tool is not a scanner. It takes photos you have already made, for example of an ID card, a certificate, a bill or a form, and puts them in a PDF. That is often all a portal or an office needs.
For a clean result: use daylight or a bright room, lay the page flat on a plain dark or light surface, hold the phone parallel to the page and fill the frame. Crop away extra background with the crop tool if needed.
If the PDF is too big for an upload, choose the Small file quality, or compress the photos to 200KB or 500KB first.

Does this tool scan documents?
It does not scan with a camera or straighten pages. You take the photos yourself, and the tool turns them into a PDF. Use good light and keep the page flat for the best result.
How do I get a sharp scan?
Put the page on a flat, plain surface near a window, hold the phone directly above it, and make sure the text is in focus and not cut off. Avoid shadows from your hand or phone.
Can I put several pages in one PDF?
Yes. Add all the photos, set the order with ▲ ▼ and press Create PDF. You get a single multi-page PDF.
How do I make the scan PDF smaller?
Choose the Small file quality, or compress the photos first with the <a href="/compress-image-to-500kb/">500KB tool</a>.
