About HEIC to JPG
HEIC (also called HEIF) is the default photo format on iPhones. It is efficient, but many sites, forms, printers and Windows apps cannot open it. Converting to JPG makes the photo work almost everywhere.
This converter runs on your own device. Your photos are not sent to a server, which matters for personal pictures and ID photos.
If the JPG is too large for a form afterwards, use the compress tool. Step-by-step help: how to convert HEIC to JPG.
Questions
How do I convert HEIC to JPG?
Choose your .heic photos (you can pick several), wait a moment and download each JPG file. It works on Windows, Mac, Android and Chromebook.
Is my photo uploaded?
No. The conversion runs in your browser, so your photos never leave your device.
Why are iPhone photos HEIC?
HEIC saves photos in about half the space of JPG at similar quality. The downside is that many websites, forms and older apps do not accept it.
Will quality drop?
JPG is a lossy format, so a tiny amount of quality is lost at the default setting. Use PNG if you need a lossless copy.
