How to use it
- Choose your photo.
- Pick the background colour for the extra space.
- Download the square image.
Square without cutting anything off
Instagram grids, marketplace listings and profile pictures prefer squares. Cropping can cut off heads or products, so this tool keeps the whole picture and adds space around it instead.
The longer side decides the size: a 1200×800 photo becomes 1200×1200 with the picture centred.
Questions
Does it crop my photo?
No. The whole picture stays; the extra space is filled with the colour you choose.
Can the background be transparent?
Yes, choose Transparent and the file is saved as PNG.
Is my photo uploaded?
No. Everything runs in your browser.
