1. Sign on plain white paper
Use a dark pen, preferably black or dark blue, and a clean white sheet. A thick, dark line compresses much better than a faint one.
2. Take a clear photo
Take the photo in daylight with the paper flat and the camera straight above it. Avoid shadows and glare. Your phone's document scanner mode works well if it has one.
3. Crop close to the signature
Use your phone's editor to crop out empty paper. Less empty space means more pixels for the signature itself, so it stays sharp after compression.
4. Compress to 20KB
Upload the cropped photo to the 20KB compressor. If the form asks for 10KB, use the 10KB compressor. The tool finds the highest quality that fits.
If the signature looks blurry
- Re-take the photo with a darker pen and better light.
- Crop tighter so the signature fills the frame.
- Check the form for the exact size and dimensions it allows.
