The quick answer
For a printed 5 × 7 inch card use 1500 × 2100 pixels, and for a 4 × 6 inch card use 1200 × 1800 pixels. For social posts, use 1080 × 1350 for Instagram portrait, 1080 × 1080 for square and 1000 × 1500 for Pinterest.

How to resize in seconds
Open the page for your size: 1080 × 1350, 1080 × 1080, 1080 × 1920, 1000 × 1500 or 1200 × 630. Drop in the photo, pick Crop to fill so nothing looks stretched, and download. Anything else can be set with the custom resize tool.
Tips for a sharp card
Start from the original photo, not a screenshot or a chat copy, because messaging apps shrink pictures. A phone photo of 12 megapixels is more than enough for a 5 × 7 card. If a print shop asks for a file size limit, compress last with the 2MB tool.
Cleaner family photos
If the background is messy, remove it and place the family on a plain colour, or export a transparent PNG for card designs. Keep faces large and avoid cropping through hands or heads.
Before you send
Check the crop on a phone screen, then export as JPG for photos. Print sizes and social sizes change over time, so confirm the current recommended size on the platform or with your print shop if it matters.
